Dreamed Archipelago

Dreamed Archipelago unfolds as a personal reimagining of Alfred Russel Wallace’s journeys through Southeast Asia. These works are less about history than about memory and dream — an archipelago that exists within me. Islands and waters shift between reality and imagination, while creatures and stories emerge like fragments of folklore or half-remembered tales. Colonial echoes, ecological reflections, and humor weave through these dreamscapes, creating scenes both surreal and intimate. Here, thresholds blur — between human and animal, past and present, science and myth — leaving open a space to reflect on what has been lost, what endures, and what continues to transform in our imagination.
